IGNOU MA Economics (MEC) Online Admission
About MEC Programme : MEC stands for Master of Arts in Economics. It comes under School of Social Sciences (SOSS). This programme is offered in both January and July session. The duration of course is 2 Years. It has no age bar. This course offers an opportunity to all students for higher studies in Economics. Some of the courses require an understanding of mathematical applications, particularly calculus and linear algebra. All Applicants are expected to be conversent with basic mathematics covered at +2 level.
This programme have 11 courses, out of which 9 are compulsory and 2 are optional. For first year, all courses are compulsory while for 2nd year, the first four courses (MEC 6,7,8,9) are Compulsory while rest(MECE-01, MECE-03, MECE-04, MPA-15, MPA-17, MECP-1) are optional. - Eligibility Criteria : All Students who wants to take admission in MEC course, all students must have Bachelor’s Degree or a higher degree from a recognized University
- Duration : Minimum : 2 Years and Maximum : 5 Years. It is offered in both January and July admission cycle
- Fee Structure : For full programme, the fees is Rs 12,000/- which is to be paid year wise @Rs 6,000/- per year.
