IGNOU MA Philosophy (MAPY) Online Admission
About MAPY Programme : The short form of Master of Arts in Philosophy is MAPY. It comes under School of Inter-disciplinary & Trans-disciplinary Studies (SOITS). The duration of course is 2 Years and is offered in both admission cycle i.e January and June session. This Programme is intended not only to enhance career prospects for students but also to train the mind for better logical thinking, mental discipline, ability for analysis and synthesis, critical reflection on social and political realities.
The Master’s programme in Philosophy has the following major components: 1) Compulsory Courses(16 credits) and 2) Elective Courses(48 credits). Students can choose as per their choice i.e 6 electives in the 1st year and 6 electives in the 2nd year. To successfully completing this course, you will have to earn 66 credits over a period of 2 to 5 years. This programme is offered only in English medium.
